bouncers at gigs

Has anyone else had problems with the so called security at a gig. Last night after watching Hanoi Rocks one particular member of staff at the Newcastle Academy was agressive, rude and started slagging off the band and also the Scorpions from a couple of weeks ago. The other staff in there are usually polite and helpfull so why do they employ this guy? who proudly told me his name, whilst forcing me from the venue. Thanks STEVE.
Otherwise a good gig though!

Pickled Onions are very nice, in fact will be starting my pickling for Christmas soon ....
I can understand pickled gherkins
But who came up with the idea of pickled eggs ... I like eggs, I liked pickled things but pickled eggs just does not work .... LOL

I've just dug out my Buffy The Vampire Slayer collection for a re-watching (first time in about 7 years!), and it got me wondering what shows you lot like to watch. I'm surely even the most TV-phobic amongst us (and much as there are quite a few shows I enjoy, I'd have to agree that 99% of TV programming is a complete waste of time - "chewing gum for the eyes" as I've heard it said before now) have some shows they really don't like to miss!

I have been meaning to test out my tent for the last month ... including a sleep over night with son ... but every weekend it rains except last weekend when it was sunny so had BBQ with mates and drank lol .... so this weekend , in readiness for Cambridge I shall be pitching come rain or bleeding shine in the back garden !!!! ..... I expect a great set on the Sunday LOL

Digital Camera advice?

My four-year old Fuji S5000 gave up the ghost halfway through The Mostlies gig at Leicester a couple of weeks ago. I suspect that it's not worth repairing given the age of the thing.

Any recommendations as to what I should replace it with? When I bought the S5000, digital SLRs were outside my budget, but they've come down in price a lot.

I must be getting old cos after watching the final tonight I thought why can't it be a draw!! Being a total neutral I did feel the irony when Ronaldo missed and I felt John Terry's pain , glad when Frank Lampard scored but when Anelka missed I did smile.

A good match how Liverpool must have rued the millions they wasted on winning nothing!

I feel a rant coming on ... Joey Barton nuff said .. do they earn too much?

Anyone else have trouble getting line breaks in their postings ? Seems very hit and miss - sometimes if I edit my post, and add extra line breaks at that point, it works. Other times, not. So everything ends up as one block paragraph, whether I like it or not! Is it necessary to manually insert code to generate a line break ? I'm posting from a Mac so it may have something to do with that - though you'd think Yuku would have plenty of Mac users so I can't see why it should be a...

Save The Point !!! (Cardiff Music Venue)

The Point is a fantastic music venue in a converted church in Cardiff Bay. Much loved and regularly visited by MA, the venue is run by staff who care passionately about music, are friendly and helpful, consequently bands love playing there and fans are ensured a great night. It's also got a great stage, sound and lighting rig, though that's hardly relevant here.

Apparently some idiots moved into the newly-converted flats next door, and subsequently complained to the council...
