Who's going to the Barnsley gig on the 27th?

I can't make either Warsop or York due to other commitments, and Blackpool has sadly been cancelled, so it looks as though the Barnsley gig is the only one of the remaining gigs I've got any chance of getting to.

As much as I like the bands original material, I remember the early days when Livvy used to belt out Heartbreaker (Pat Benatar). I really enjoyed it and the crowds reacted well to it too. I know you don't wish to be known as a cover band, but is there much chance that you guys could add it to the setlist now and again or even do it for an encore? If not, please do it just for me at Warsop on Saturday night!

Riffs in Blackpool, gig cancelled

Sorry to have to inform those who were planning to come to Blackpool on 21st Nov to see us at 'Riffs', that the venue has closed down and the gig is therefore cancelled.

Bugger! Ah well, another night free to compose more stuff for the new CD!!!

I am sitting here, having come in from a night out down the club, got a Strongbow next to me, listening to "Rain Song" and thinking are Karnataka a tribute band .. no lol .... thinking wish I was in Haddenham tomorrow night ... still on a high after last Sundays gig ("The Senses" playing now - which if I may say features some great Ian flourishes) ........... Hope all of you going have a great gig (which you will) I shall be in Paignton many miles away lol

Breathing Space at The Diamond were brilliant - a great night - thank you so much really was a great gig and again I found myself "lost" in the music and carried to another place (or was that the dodgy pickled egg Colin gave me!)

Accommodation in Warsop?

We're struggling to find accommodation in Warsop. We prefer the centre of town near the gig with parking if possible. All the Travel Inn's and the like are miles away!
I would appreciate it if anyone could let me know on here if there's anywhere you could recommend. Thanks.

The countdown begins .... really looking forward to the gig (if they can top Cambridge it will be pretty special) .... it's a nice place The Diamond so I would urge everyone to make the effort!! and of course the promised new song(s) are an attraction.

I must say I feel quite like a little kid getting excited and will be the third time I have seen them this year (not bad for a cockney loving, West Country , cider drinking, Southerner)

just been looking at the pics from Cambridge and they do show the large crowd that the band pulled, at least three times more that the same time the bands on Saturday were attracting..... and yes I have spotted myself ....Helen was next to me but due to munchkin size she sadly does not appear in the pic!.....

This could ramble a bit!

I drove up Friday night (5 1/2 hours) and spent the night with my brother, next morning bugger its raining, but drove the extra 30 minutes and arrived at the campsite ...

As soon as I was in I phoned Colin and luckily enough there was room to pitch my tent next to him and Helen (was that luck or had others just stayed away???). With Colin and Helens help I got...

Andrea's Gift concert

For those of us who were honoured enough to be invited; what a great gig, and the band played a superb set. Flight also did an excellent slot, and Mostly Autumn played a couple of very appropriate numbers. Although the night was tinged with sadness, the whole thing was a wonderful celebration of Howard's life, and raised a significant amount for Andrea's Gift, the charity in the York area which helps families which are effected by the devastation of brain tumors.
