We won't be there either, sadly due to a prior commitment. However, we'll be there in spirit. We've not been to the M Club, so would be interested to hear how it goes. H x

Water Baby Posts: 4 Sat, 10 Oct, 2009 22:31:24	Breathing Space put on a brilliant performance and Olivia's vocals were absolutely wonderful. Agood set list with a mix of old and new and Questioning eyes is already a classic. Downside, I only counted 38 people in the club, which probably hold at least 200 to 300 people. I was amazed how professional the band was putting on a stunning performance it must be soul destroying performing in an empty venue with zero atmosphere ( some body needs a bollocking for this) and no doubt the band lost a lot of money on this gig. The location seemed to be in the back end of beyond in a dead town and it was impossible to find a pub anywhere near the venue. Surely the band needs to be performing in larger cities where a larger crowd can be attracted.

It was a pity it clashed with the Progressive Nation tour in Manchester the same night. I think Breathing Space really ought to be playing somewhere like Manchester rather than Crewe; somewhere like the recently re-opened Band on the Wall would be ideal size. Water Baby Posts: 4 Tue, 13 Oct, 2009 14:13:52	I couldn't agree with you more, The Band on the Wall in Manchester would be a brilliant venue for Breathing Space to play ( and there are plenty of good real ale pubs within 5 minutes walk of the venue). In a city the size of Greater Manchester i am sure you could get a bigger audience and bring in more casual music fans. I really cant see the point in playing gigs in some of the more remote venues Breathing Space and Mostly Autumn play, to expand the fan base they really need to play venues in larger towns and cities and attract some younger fans and women (I am 46 and my wife 36 and we feel positively young at gigs).

Water Baby Posts: 4 Tue, 20 Oct, 2009 20:45:58	Never the Rainbow and Drowning from the Crewe gig are now on youtube, quality of picture and sound excellent and there is no problem of the crowd obstructing the view!
