The last five albums to spend time time rotating at Hippy Towers:
Metamorphosis - Magenta Visionary Position - Panic Room Around The Sun - R.E.M. Music Of The Spheres - Mike Oldfield Strange Behaviour - Karnataka Mostly new stuff, then, though I was just in the mood for some Karnataka yesterday and indulged myself accordingly. Around The Sun got a spin because I haven't picked up R.E.M.'s new album (Accelerate) yet and was getting myself re-acquainted. Around The Sun seems to get a pretty bad rap from fans because it's very mellow, but I really like it: a bit like Automatic For The People, it's definitely a 'mood' record...

Deep Purple - Bananas
Rush - Signals Kate Bush - Live at Hammersmith Odeon The Reasoning - Awakening (fancy that!) Karnataka - Delicate Flame Of Desire Caamora - She Like Dave I was in the mood for Karnataka yesterday morning although it was on the little hi-fi I have in my shed as the spring gardening fever begins to take hold. I don't know Bananas that well but it got a rare outing today and I really enjoyed it!

Sonic Origami - Uriah Heep A long times since I've listened to this one;
although it's still their most recent album, it came out way back in 1998! Hopefully this years' new one will be worth the wait.

Well, today selection was:
Earth and Fire - Earth and Fire (expanded edition) (and definitely no wind in sight!) Thunder / Magnum - Live at the Great British Music Weekend All About Eve - Live at Hammersmith Odeon Ozzy Osbourne - Talk of the devil (ie the double live set of Sabbath songs) Rolling Stones - Love you live Deep Purple - In concert Actually I guess technically I'm cheating as they weren't all CDs - in fact only the first was. The others were on tape - now they're con MP3 too! "We don't need to know the answers to hope and pray for peace" |

Also Disguises (suite for string orchestra), which is on the same disc. Mainly just Boom of the Tingling Strings , though. |
