Yes indeed! Breathing Space played a storming set.
From where Georgia Katie and I were, right at the front, the sound was fine, excepting that Bryan's guitar was too low in the mix. I'm told the sound got a lot worse in the middle of the tent and improved towards the back. And how well did they play? Iain is a consummate musician, BJ is the perfect foil , adding instinctive dynamism throughout, and Livvy was in stunning voice....she simply went for the notes in Rain Song and nailed em! And how good are the new songs too.....! We heard the debut (I presume) of Clear - all the work of Paul and well worthy of the cheers from the Merch stall. Questioning Eyes was awesome......what a song and what a performance from the whole band.....how could you follow that? Setlist Forgive Senses Clear Night Takes You Home Coming Up For Air Wasted All The Time Rain Song Below The Radar When I Hold Questioning Eyes Very gratifying to see serious crowds at the merch stall afterwards. And all the CDRs of the new album sold in a flash, along with loads of T's too. THe gang did us and themselves proud- A Triumph! AND on the first 2 listens the new album is WONDERFUL.........Great songs and powerful performances throughout......not forgetting some cracking guitar from Liam . CONGRATS ALL Howard Georgia & Katie PS Great to see so many friends too |

Can't really think of much else to add.... superb festival despite the mud and the best efforts of the PA guys to wreck it. THE best BS gig of the year -
amazing what difference a good crowd and some atmosphere makes - like the Roman Bath but bigger! All the Special Edition CDs sold - in fact double the merch
from last year I think and last year was brilliant.
My thanks to everyone who helped put some postcards out - there's still plenty left so if anyone can put any out anywhere else (especially where there are gigs) please let me or the band know and somehow I'm sure some will reach you. I agree with Howie - the sound was patchy it seems from talking to people who were in different parts of the tent. "We don't need to know the answers to hope and pray for peace" |

Another great performance, I agree with Howie that the sound at the front was spot on, apart from Livvy's mic going off for a few seconds. And Bryans
guitar could have been a little louder, but apparently that would have caused feedback for some reason??? Barry looked like he was really having fun behind the
drums too. One of the top bands of the weekend without a doubt.

Andy, why didn't you ask if you could leave your tent set up for next year
as I can't see it ever folding up the way it's meant too.

Breathing Space's set was definitely one of the highlights of the festival - definitely blowing away Sunday's headliner.
The size of the crowd around the merch stand after the set really said it all.

Can't say I would accept that BS "blew away" Asia - sorry - the Asia set was superb too. AND their sound was perfect. But to my (OK biased) ears
at least BS were in the same league, as were MA, on the weekend's showing. And don't be surprised if Emerald Sky get up there one day too, with the
right promotion... And Larry Miller was probably the best thing on Saturday, edging Uriah Heep.

Does it come with a free blonde then? Didn't notice yours - did you leave her behind? Now you know why we don't sleep in tents - not sure Lynda would
approve!
